Warning Signs in a Man’s Dating Profile
When online dating or using dating apps, it can be hard to spot the warning signs but Dating Coach James Preece show you how
Warning Signs: Spotting Red Flags in Men’s Dating Profiles
Despite the scam artists and guys who are just looking for a booty call, there are real gems to be had in the online dating world. We’ve all seen the stories of couples who are perfect for each other meeting online. I know you want a piece of the action, but the pitfalls can make you want to run in the other direction. That’s why it’s so important to be able to sort the good from the bad from the truly ugly. Well, I am here to lend you a helping hand. I have listed here some warning signs that a guy isn’t what you are looking for. If you avoid these, then you will be on a good track to getting the man of your dreams.
Within 10 Minutes Of Knowing You, He Asks For An X-Rated Photograph
Ok ladies, this one is a no brainer. If you are casually chatting with a man online and the subject turns sexual super quickly, you can bet he’s only looking for sex. I know this may seem like obvious you, but this is encountered so frequently that is must work on some women. If you are only looking to hook-up; then do whatever you like. However, if you are serious about finding a good partner, starting a relationship off on a naked photo just doesn’t seem to be the way to go about it.
He Makes Intolerant Statements In His Profile
If you see the words “will not tolerate”, that often is a sign of a possessive personality. Now, I realise, there may be women out there who are into that, but for most this is a one of the warning signs to get out of there. If a man can’t tolerate a behaviour without evening knowing you, then imagine what he will not be willing to tolerate once he is with you.
I Like To Party And You Should Too
Again, you may not be looking to settle down, and if you aren’t then this is not targeted towards you, but if you are interested in a long term relationship, partying is probably not primary on your list. Often the profiles that focus on this lifestyle are not looking for serious couplings. This is an excellent sign that your priorities might not be matched.
Warnings Signs Via Negative Language Or Complaints
Profiles filled with complaints about past relationships or negative statements can be a sign of unresolved issues. Negativity in profiles is a significant turn-off for many online daters. If they are this bad online, can you begin to imagine how awful they might be in real life?
He Talks A Lot About His Ex
This tip might seem a bit clichéd, but if a man is talking about his Ex on his profile, it could be one of the warning signs that he isn’t over her. There are exceptions, especially where children are concerned, but a man that focuses on the pain his Ex caused him is probably still healing from that encounter and not in a place to start a new relationship. The last thing you want, if you are searching for a husband, is to be the rebound girl.
Complete Lack Of Effort
A poorly written profile with minimal effort can suggest disinterest or a lack of seriousness about dating. A dating profile with few or no personal photos, or images that seem overly edited, can be suspicious too. Overly edited photos are also one of the biggest warning signs to avoid, which has become worse with AI. Profiles that lack effort are among the top ‘icks’ for online daters
Warning Signs Trigger Your Gut
These are just some basic tips, but they are useful nonetheless. As a Dating Coach, I also am a firm believer in trusting your instincts. If something seems fishy, it probably is! Do not try to force a man into the role you are looking for, because that will inevitably end in heartache.
